- This was April's last meeting with us before her move to Florida. We will miss her! Barb brought a giant decorated cookie for everyone to share with April at this farewell meeting.
- Alex discussed Barb's presentation on AIUSA at the Rotary Club in Frazer on March 5
- About 12 people were in attendance
- They enjoyed the talk and had a lot of discussion (especially about the death penalty)
- Barb mentioned that many AI groups in other countries are opposed not only to the death penalty but to life imprisonment as well
- Barb presented details of the Philadelphia Area Amnesty International USA Conference
- It was held on Saturday, 15 March, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ethical Society in Philadelphia
- About 30 people attended
- The morning session focused on LGBTQ rights, and the afternoon sessions focused on the death penalty
- One of the speakers was Phyllis from the Philadelphia AI group
- We wrote (many!) cards to the Iranian prisoners of conscience highlighted in this year's Nowruz action
- Meetings on 16 April and 21 May
