26 June: Attended the panel discussion Exposing U.S. Torture: Restoring Human Dignity at the El-Hibri Foundation

• Cosponsored by AIUSA, Karamah (Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights), and National Religious Campaign against Torture
• Panel members: Azizah ah-Hibri (founder and chair of Karamah and member of the Constitution Project's Task Force on Detainee Treatment); James R. Jones (co-chair of the Constitution Project's Task Force on Detainee Treatment), and Diane Randall (executive secretary of the Friends Committee on National Legislation)
• Discussion of al-Hibri's and Jones's work in producing the report of the Constitution Project's Task Force on Detainee Treatment

• Our group's annual event set for 13 December 2014 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) 
• Scheduled to occur near/during International Human Rights Day (10 December) and Amnesty International's annual Global Write for Rights campaign (early December)
